1. Controller

The controller responsible for Liqora and this website is:

Robin Ansermet

Switzerland
Email: robin@ansermet.ch

Liqora is a service offered by Robin Ansermet.

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy describes the processing of personal data when you use the Liqora iOS app and when you visit this privacy page. It takes account of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

3. Data processing in Liqora

App data

Depending on how you use Liqora, you may enter the following data:

  • your name and an optional date of birth for personalisation;
  • transactions, transfers, accounts, amounts, currencies and notes;
  • categories, subcategories, default tags and sellers;
  • recurring transactions, portfolios and related settings;
  • an optional location attached to a transaction;
  • an optional indication of how you discovered Liqora;
  • local device and display settings.

This data is processed to provide the app features you choose to use. Liqora does not operate a user account, its own app server or an analytics backend. Robin Ansermet has no routine access to the financial data stored in your app.

Local storage

By default, Liqora stores your app data locally in the app's protected storage area on your iPhone. Device-specific preferences such as Face ID, location permission, notifications, language and UI state remain on the relevant device.

Optional iCloud sync

If you enable iCloud sync, app data is stored through Apple CloudKit in your Apple Account and synchronised between your devices. This feature is optional and can be managed in Liqora. Apple's terms and privacy information apply to processing performed by Apple.

Backups, CSV import and export

Backups and CSV files are created, selected or shared only when you explicitly initiate the relevant action. After exporting a file, you choose its storage location and recipients. Liqora processes imported files to add the data they contain.

4. Optional device features

Location

If you enable location capture and grant the iOS permission, Liqora can capture your approximate location once when you create a transaction and store it with that transaction. Apple's mapping service may be used for reverse geocoding to provide a readable place name. You can revoke the permission at any time in iOS Settings.

Face ID

Face ID is used solely to protect the app locally. Liqora does not receive biometric data; iOS only reports whether authentication was successful.

Notifications, badges and Siri Shortcuts

If you choose, Liqora uses local notifications and app badges for reminders, drafts and shortcuts. Siri Shortcuts are processed by Apple's system services. You decide which shortcuts and automations to configure.

Apple Intelligence

Supported AI features use Apple's Foundation Models on a compatible iPhone. Liqora uses them to prepare transaction drafts and recognise relevant details. Processing is performed through the system features provided by Apple; Liqora does not send these inputs to its own AI server.

5. External services

Apple

Depending on your choices, Liqora may use iCloud/CloudKit, mapping services, Apple Intelligence, Siri Shortcuts, local notifications and the App Store. For users in Switzerland and the EEA, the provider is generally Apple Distribution International Limited in Ireland. Processing by other Apple entities, including outside Switzerland or the EEA, may occur as described in Apple's privacy information. Further details are available in Apple's Privacy Policy.

RevenueCat

Liqora uses RevenueCat, Inc. in the United States to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions, validate purchase receipts and reliably provide unlocked features, and to analyse purchase and subscription trends in the RevenueCat dashboard. RevenueCat may process an anonymous App User ID generated by RevenueCat, technical information such as device type and operating system, the time the app was last used, and purchase and subscription information including the Apple purchase receipt. RevenueCat does not receive payment-card details; payments are processed by Apple. Liqora does not send RevenueCat names, email addresses, locations or financial tracking data stored in Liqora.

RevenueCat processes this data as a processor for purchase and entitlement management. RevenueCat states that the data is stored with Amazon Web Services in the United States. For transfers from Switzerland and the EEA, RevenueCat's Data Processing Addendum provides contractual safeguards, including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Data is retained according to the duration and requirements of purchase management and applicable legal obligations. Further information is available in RevenueCat's Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum.

Frankfurter exchange-rate service

When you use features involving multiple currencies, Liqora retrieves current or historical exchange rates from Frankfurter. The relevant currency codes and, where applicable, a date are transmitted. Amounts, sellers and notes are not transmitted. An internet connection inherently discloses technical data such as your IP address, the time of the request and device or connection information. Frankfurter's public service operates behind Cloudflare, which may process basic technical information for delivery, security and analytics. Processing may take place outside Switzerland or the EEA, including in the United States. Further information is available from Frankfurter and in Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

External links

Liqora opens WhatsApp, Instagram, App Store reviews or iCloud Shortcut templates only when you select the relevant action. From that point, the privacy terms of the respective provider apply. Liqora does not independently transmit the financial data stored in your app to these services.

6. This website

This static website is hosted by hosttech GmbH in Switzerland. Technically necessary server logs may be processed to deliver the site securely. These may include your IP address, date and time, requested file, amount of data transferred, status code, browser information and referring page. This processing supports stable and secure operation and error analysis.

Log data is retained only for as long as necessary for operation, security and incident investigation, and is then deleted or anonymised unless a legal obligation requires longer retention. Further information is available in hosttech's Privacy Policy.

Contacting us

If you contact us by email, your email address, message content, any attachments and technically necessary communication data are processed to handle your enquiry. Please do not send complete financial backups or other sensitive app data unless this is expressly necessary to resolve your request. Messages are deleted once the enquiry is complete and no legal or legitimate retention need remains.

This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising services and loads no third-party fonts or media. When the main address is opened, the appropriate language is selected locally using your preferred browser language. Your selected light or dark appearance is stored only in your browser and is not transmitted to Robin Ansermet.

7. Purposes and legal bases

Personal data is processed to provide the app and the features you select, deliver this website securely, respond to enquiries and meet legal obligations. Where the GDPR applies, processing is based, as appropriate, on performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), legitimate interests in providing a secure and reliable service (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), your consent for optional features (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), or compliance with legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).

You can withdraw consent at any time with future effect by disabling the relevant feature in Liqora or the corresponding permission in iOS Settings. Liqora does not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning you. AI results are prepared as reviewable drafts.

8. Retention and deletion

Locally stored app data remains until you delete it in Liqora, reset the app or remove the app and its data. When iCloud sync is active, deletions may be synchronised to your other devices through iCloud. You manage and delete exported files and backups at the storage location you selected.

Because Robin Ansermet has no routine access to data stored locally or in your private iCloud area, he cannot inspect or directly delete that data for you. Data contained in support requests is retained only as long as needed to handle the request and, where applicable, meet legal record- keeping obligations.

Data security

Liqora uses iOS security mechanisms, the app's protected storage area and, when sync is enabled, Apple iCloud security mechanisms. This website is delivered over an encrypted HTTPS connection. While appropriate technical and organisational measures are used, no transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be entirely risk-free.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable data protection law, you may have rights including access, rectification, erasure or restriction of processing, withdrawal of consent with future effect and objection to processing. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.

For privacy enquiries, contact Robin Ansermet at robin@ansermet.ch.

10. Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated when Liqora, the services it uses or applicable legal requirements change. The current version and its revision date will always be available on this page.
